Specimen Requirements

Specimen Type: Tissue
Container/Tube: Sterile Container
Specimen Volume: Most Possible

Specimen Minimum Volume: 1 g

 
Collection Instructions:
1. For small specimens, add several drops of sterile

    saline to keep moist. Do not allow tissue to dry out.

2. Label specimen with patient’s full name, date of birth, date

     & time of collection, name of person collecting, and source.

3. Keep specimen at room temperature during transport.
