Specimen Requirements

Specimen Type: Urine (24 Hour Collection)
Container/Tube: Sterile Plastic Container
Specimen Volume: Entire 24 Hour Collection

 

Collection Instructions:

1. Label specimen with patient’s full name, date of birth, and 

    date & time of collection (Both Start & End Times).

2. For 24 Hour Urines: Refrigerate during collection

     and follow instructions for “24 Hour Urine Collection”

     under “Specimen Collection and Handling” within the

     links menu on the left side of the screen.)

3. Refrigerate specimen during transport.

Normal: 1.0 - 2.0 g / 24 Hours
